Job Description


Working within the Village Medical business unit, the Director, Clinical Initiatives will be responsible for managing processes to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and coordinate development activities across clinical initiatives.

This role will work closely with clinical leaders to understand challenges and collaboratively identify opportunities and scalable solutions to support improved performance.


Examples of key accountabilities in this role include:
Develop and deploy a process for identifying and categorizing potential clinical initiatives; define problem statements and objectives
Facilitate workgroups to understand current obstacles and engage team members in the problem-solving process
Coordinate across teams to determine clinical, operational, and financial impacts of identified initiatives; develop standard project proposal structure and content
Establish, communicate, and monitor progress against active initiative milestones; build awareness for central and market teams on initiative status
Serve as a trusted thought partner for clinical leaders by demonstrating a deep understanding of clinical initiatives and key dependencies and interactions between clinical, operational, and financial processes
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deploy tools to monitor initiative performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Share frequent initiative updates with clinical leadership, including proactive identification of barriers or required escalations

What will make you successful in the role:
A track record of building meaningful relationships across a diverse group of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
Ability to provide executive leadership with appropriate context and information to facilitate efficient and effective decision-making; strong ability to assign objective, quantifiable value drivers to identified initiatives
A high tolerance for ambiguity, a service orientation, and a high level of humility
Ability to dive into the details, while also maintaining a strategic lens to understand broad initiative impact
You have a strong sense of personal accountability for delivering individual and team results
You demonstrate humility through your actions, relationships, and communications with others

What you bring to the role:
Bachelor's Degree required
At least 5 years of relevant, progressive experience with clinical initiatives, including direct accountability for project completion
A servant leader, focused on supporting the needs of clinical delivery team members
Experience working with clinical, operational, and financial data
Proven track record of supporting matrixed, cross-functional teams to effectively deliver on commitments
Desire to be hands-on with a track record of "rolling up your sleeves" to drive desired outcomes
Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage and pivot between competing priorities
Excellent interpersonal communication, a high attention to detail, and critical problem-solving skills to garner credibility and develop strong relationships

For Colorado Residents only:
The base compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $145,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.

This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
