Tax Manager


We are partnering with a public accounting firm, in the Triangle, looking to add a Tax Manager to their team.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our tax compliance and planning processes while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:


Review quarterly tax provisions and corporate, individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership, and gift tax returns and provides written and verbal feedback to staff and interns.

Manage and oversee all aspects of the client's tax compliance, including preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.

Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize liabilities.
Conduct thorough research on tax issues and regulations to ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tax guidance and support for various business initiatives and transactions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external tax advisors, auditors, and government agencies.
Review and analyze financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings and process improvements.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA required.
5+ years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of ASC 740 accounting for income taxes.
Team oriented, results oriented, with a commitment to client satisfaction.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
