POSITION OVERVIEW


Due to both continued growth of the region as well as desire for best-in-class processes, systems, staff, and operations, Loth is seeking to add a Vice President Operations to its leadership team.

The Vice President, Operations will be responsible for leading Operations for both LOTH dealerships in Cincinnati and Columbus. Operations encompasses the dealership's sales coordination (order entry and customer service), project management, warehouse, and service/installation departments.

The Vice President, Operations is responsible for the development and expansion of services to meet current and future customer expectations, for the quality and cost of all services managed and delivered, and for complete customer satisfaction for all services delivered.

The Vice President, Operations reports to the President and will manage 5 direct reports in operations, warehousing, service, and distribution with a total team of more than 50 associates.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership


Provides leadership and strategic, forward-thinking vision for sales coordination, project management, warehouse, and service/installation departments; drives operational excellence and best practice in every operations department.

Develops and implements operational policies, practices, procedures; ensures the attainment of operational goals. Evaluates current procedures and practices for effectiveness and offers creative alternatives to improve the business.

Drives the technology strategy for the operations departments, including partnership with corporate technology leadership on ERP implementation in 2025.


Sets and leads a world class operations strategy for the company, partners with leadership, and inspires and leads their team to achievement.

Reviews new business opportunities/services for LOTH. Makes recommendations on their success and leads the startup of these services from an operational perspective.

Reviews the operations team; makes appropriate hires and develops/mentors/reviews staff to optimize team performance.

Operational Economics and Financial Performance

Establishes service cost definitions and calculations; provides development and continuous refinement of service estimating capabilities.

Provides oversight of labor tracking and job costing systems for all service work.

Develops and manages operational organization and departmental budgets, expenditures, and profit levels.

Researches and understands competitor pricing and cost structures.

Quality and Customer Service


Defines, monitors, and establishes measurable standards of performance for services managed and delivered; drives a customer service focus throughout the company.

Establishes and leads customer audits and satisfaction surveys.

Establishes a quality continuous improvement program; sets and collects benchmark data.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
7 + years in a senior operational leadership role, i.e., VP, General Manager, or other relevant role

BA/BS degree in Business or related field

Process improvement track record, experience with lean, process mapping, continuous improvement techniques and tools

Strong business and financial acumen

Job costing experience

Industry experience with multiple facets of operations—order entry, customer service, project management, warehousing, delivery, installation, field service

Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills

Results-oriented with a high sense of urgency

Ability to develop and grow teams to produce quality results within challenging deadlines and ongoing change

Embraces teamwork and shares ideas/approaches to improve performance

Confident and effective communicator, able to articulate complex ideas in simple terms

Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

PREFERRED SKILLS
Commercial furniture dealership experience

Experience with family owned entrepreneurial, high growth companies

Net Suites (or other ERP) experience/implementation
