Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, APTS' Talent Acquisition Manager will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and retaining top talent to meet the organization's staffing needs.

This position involves strategic planning, relationship building, and overseeing the recruitment process. The Talent Acquisition Manager will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and implement effective recruitment strategies.

Talent Acqusition Manager I Summary of Duties:

  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with supervisors, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide daily/weekly reports to hiring managers on a timely basis regarding status relating to all positions; including outreach and response for each position as needed. Conduct retention research when necessary.
  • Utilize recruitment metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make datadriven decisions.
  • Develop creative concepts and innovative recruitment strategies to attract skilled individuals and foster a diverse talent reservoir. This may include fully utilizing platforms such as social media, encouraging employee referrals, engaging in direct contact recruiting, tapping into job boards, and leveraging both internal and external networks.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to enhance the organization's employer brand.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and organization policies.
  • Must be willing to travel in the DC Metropolitan area and hold a valid driver's license. Occasional outofstate travel may be required.
  • Supervise and mentor the recruitment team. Provide guidance, coaching and training to ensure the team's success and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is
    required (Human Resources, Business or related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience including progressive work experience in the areas of talent acquisition/recruitment.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in schoolbased recruitment a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • The capacity to devise and execute sourcing strategies for recruiting diverse roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicanttracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
