Job Title: LAP Coordinator

Join Action In Community as a LAP Coordinator and play a vital role in supporting the organization's mission to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in crisis. As a LAP Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering the overall operations of the Lethality Assessment Program (LAP) and managing the staff and volunteers providing crisis intervention for LAP program clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide crisis intervention services to domestic violence victims and their families in need of immediate assistance and over the phone as part of the LAP program.
  • Coordinate shelter placement for domestic violence victims through the LAP program and ensure resources have been provided or appropriate referrals made for each client to assist domestic violence survivors with the stabilization of their lives after victimization.
  • Develop and implement protocols required to administer the LAP program.
  • Represent the agency before the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia to present reports and to receive and implement regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain client call and follow-up records per LAP protocols, and statistical data relevant to domestic violence victims for LAP reports.
Requirements:
  • Excellent administrative skills, including knowledge of in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, all Microsoft Office programs and quick to learn other programs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed crisis intervention.
  • Strong empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Strong data entry skills and detail orientation.
  • Cross-cultural communication sensitivity and skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation for data management and reporting.
  • Excellent team awareness and support.
  • Bilingual capability (English, Spanish, French, or Arabic), strong preference for Spanish.
