Exciting Job OpportunityAre you a skilled professional in the field of Television Production or Broadcasting? News 12 is seeking a Freelance Studio Director to take the lead in directing live and recorded newscasts and programs using cutting-edge studio automation. We are looking for a candidate with a keen eye for detail and the ability to coordinate various elements seamlessly for distribution across all platforms.
Your Responsibilities- Ensure top-notch quality control over studio productions.
- Collaborate with producers to execute engaging and effective programs.
- Follow the graphic format stylebook for producing programs.
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of studio crew members.
- Be ready to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Engage in special projects and other assigned duties as needed.
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Television Production or Broadcasting, with a Master's degree considered a plus.
- Minimum of one-year experience as a television director.
- Proficiency in directing using studio automation equipment like Grass Valley Ignite.
- Ability to handle technically complex live programming with ease.
- Familiarity with interpreting newscast rundowns and production equipment.
- Solid knowledge of current and emerging technologies in newscast production.
- Capability to work efficiently under pressure in live on-air environments.
- Willingness to work varied hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
