About the Opportunity: ? Job Title: Design Engineer ? Pay: $70,000/Annually ? Location: Forest Lake, MN ? Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Thurs 7AM-4PM. Daily functions:
  1. Plans and develops robust designs per customer specifications.
  2. Work with customers to ensure the product will conform to their requirements and meet their needs.
  3. Assist customers with part design issues, thus creating more robust designs.
  4. Create detailed written communication documenting processes to be used.
  5. Work cooperatively with all employees.
  6. Take responsibility to see jobs are completed when due.
  7. Develop, evaluate, and improve mold building techniques.
  8. Communicate at a high level both internally and externally.
  9. Performs all other assignments as required.
Desired qualifications:
  1. Preferred 2-year trade school with emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum 2 years experience as a Mold Designer
  3. Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  4. Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills; effective business correspondence and reporting; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business operating systems; proficient in the use of design and/or programming software such as Kerio and Solid works.
  5. Knowledge: Knowledge of engineering or technical operations; knowledge of blue print reading; skilled in the use of design and/or programming software and various other manufacturing systems; an understanding of component and/or mold manufacturing and ability to make decisions on in process tolerancing.
  6. Abilities: To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision; to be able to solve practical problems and work effectively with customers, vendors and other departments.
