**Job Purpose/Functions:** The **Houseman** assists and supports the Inspectors and Room Attendants in meeting quality and timeliness standards. Perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain resort establishments in a clean and orderly manner. Join our team at **Coconut Malorie Resort** in **Ocean City, MD.** Entry-level **Room Attendant** and **Houseman** positions with paid training available. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.

Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.

Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.

Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.

Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.

Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers

Empty trash bins. Wipe down outside of trash cans.

**Characteristics/Skills for Success:**

Good communication skills with the ability to effectively respond to guest requests and questions from managers, supervisors, and co-workers.

Self-Motivated and Team Player mentality.

Detail Oriented.

Organization skills.

Perform routine work over and over again.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
