RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The Mammography Technologist performsspecialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis andtreatment of breast disease in patients. The MammographyTechnologist performs a variety of tasks involving the operation ofmammographic radiographic equipment and other equipment/devices asappropriate. Demonstrates ability to perform advance breast imagingprocedures such as stereotactic and MRI biopsies and iscompetent/proficient with sterile procedures. Provides more complextechnical care necessary to meet identified patientneeds.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
  • Graduate of an AMAapproved school of RadiologicTechnology.
MINIMUMEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 4 yearminimum experience as a Mammography Technologistpreferred.
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
  • Registered RadiologicTechnologist in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) -ARRT.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
  • BLScertified.
