As a Hotel Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel's facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. You will handle a variety of tasks including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to guest service calls.
The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on hotel systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in guest rooms and common areas.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of all hotel facilities.
- Maintain the hotel's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with the management and supervision of any outside contractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Participate in emergency response activities as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders
