Duties:

As a
Supervisory Management Analyst, you will:

  • Assign, direct and review the work of subordinate employees; plan schedules and coordinate work operations of the Division; resolve problems related to the work of the Division; develop the subordinate staff s performance standards; approve/disapprove employee requests for leave and rates performance; recommend awards and takes disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Assist the RA/Deputy Administrator in ensuring the operational functions of the office are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Assist the Administrator in serving as the Department's principal local liaison with Governors and state officials; advocate the Department's policies in the region; and contribute to the development of major policies under consideration by the Department.
  • Recommend immediate corrective action wherever problems are found; wherever Headquarters policies, standards, or procedures are not being followed.

Qualifications:

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience:

For the
GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the
GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.


Specialized Experience for this position includes:

  • Analyzing and evaluating issues related to office operations;
    AND:
  • Contributing to the development of policies;
    AND:
  • Developing reports for management officials that outline findings and recommend solutions;
    AND:
  • Coordinating projects and building relationships with organizations in designated communities. (e.g., government and advocacy groups).
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or
volunteer service**. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
