STS develops and builds highly realistic simulators and training systems for both military and commercial customers.

We utilize cutting-edge technology (VR, haptic feedback, gamified scenarios) to deliver highly specialized training for some of the most demanding jobs in aviation.

Devices range in complexity from desktop training all the way up to high-fidelity weapon systems and full flight training systems, including full visual motion and simulator interoperability.

In this position, you will assist in designing, implementing, and testing multi-threaded software applications and their associated user interfaces.

You will work in a fast-paced, modern agile development environment and collaborate closely with systems, hardware, and test to build advanced, mission-focused capabilities and features.

This position requires an active US security clearance. Eligible for relocation.
*Design, develop, integrate, and test software on cross-functional agile teams to deliver solutions within budget, scope, and schedule constraints.

  • Perform bidding and proposal activities to support the acquisition of new business.
  • Make and influence decisions which impact cost, schedule, and technical performance at a team level.

*Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have previous experience working with C++.
  • Experience with agile development practices and general software engineering design principles.
*Familiarity with Linux and Windows development environments

  • Candidate exhibits leader-like qualities and has a willingness to share their knowledge and build up their peers.
  • Experience using Visual Studio and Eclipse
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile development methodologies
  • Experience using Win32/Win64 APIs and associated Linux API
  • Experience working with databases; Strong OOP and C++ language skills including STL, Templates
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Active DoD Security Clearance (within 24 months)

  • The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
