Following directives from superiors, maintaining knowledge of evidence-based practices, and adhering to policies are key responsibilities. Developing strong nurse-patient relationships, utilizing effective communication techniques, and staying prepared for emergencies are essential. Always striving for excellence, this role involves documenting patient care, formulating nursing diagnoses and care plans, and providing direct patient care services. Delegating tasks, supervising subordinates, and evaluating care plans are also part of the job. Advocating for clients, ensuring quality care, and empowering clients in decision-making are also important aspects of this role. A Bachelor of Sciences degree in nursing is required, with at least one year of clinical nursing experience in Perinatal or Critical Care settings. A current California Nursing license and certification in a related nursing specialty are preferred. Bilingual skills, basic computer proficiency, and experience with Electronic Medical Records are advantageous.
