Job Description

The Site Manager is responsible for all C-17 Site activities at the assigned location.

The Site Manager is also responsible for site level operation of all the program elements assigned to the site which includes (but is not limited to), implementation, direction of scheduled activities, budgeting, planning, organizing, directing, and controlling integration of all facets of site management.

Essential Functions

The essential job functions for this position include:
Manages all elements of the C-17TS training site operations. Ensures all required resources are available, and that all students are provided contractual training courses and courseware. Also ensures Site crewmembers are provided with recurring and upgrade training as required.
Provides overall management of site maintenance activities. Ensures all C-17 training devices and equipment are operational and ready to support training.

Ensures that all site activities, as well as personnel actions are in compliance with the Nova "Policy and Procedure Manual".

Establishes local policies and procedures for the site consistent with C-17 Program Manager

guidance/direction.
Supports the Corporate Quality Assurance Program and monitors compliance for the site.
Evaluates work performance on all direct reports in accordance with established policy on performance reviews.

Assumes responsibility for Site Affirmative Action Plan compliance and ensures all hiring, promoting, and disciplinary activities are free of discriminatory bias.

Attends quarterly System Review Board (SRB) meetings and provides briefings as required by the C-17TS Program Manager.
Analyzes site manning requirements and makes staffing level recommendations to the C-17TS Program Manager.
Interfaces and represents Nova with local site's AFB Senior Wing Staff members and local community leaders.
Performs travel as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Competencies
Required skills and abilities to effectively perform this position include, but are not limited to:
Ability to influence others to successfully achieve program goals.
Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Aircrew Training Systems.
Basic knowledge of maintenance activities, policies, and procedures.
Basic knowledge of personal computers and software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, experience, and training. Five years recent experience in management and training of flight crews for large, multi-engine military aircraft.
Master's degree is highly desirable. Prior experience as a United States Air Force crewmember is highly desirable.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is a direct manager role and provides leadership oversight.

Work Environment, Programs, and Tools
This positionoperatesin an office environment and requires individuals to walk, stand, sit, use hands/fingers to type, talk,listenand look.


Required knowledge of the following tools, equipment, and programsincludes:laptop, phone, Microsoft Office suite - specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position will be located at Altus AFB, OKand will require adherence to core site hours. This position is a full-time salaried role, expected to work no less than 80 hours per payroll period.

This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of regular business hours of operations when needed to support program needs.

Able and willing to work any shift as required. Able to work overtime as required.

Travel
Must be able and willing to travel. Travel to C-17TS site locations periodically may be required, estimated at 10%.

Security Clearance
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
