Job Title: Compliance Specialist

Location: Roanoke, VA

Pay Range: $30-33/hr

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining Accurate Records: You will be in charge of keeping precise and well-organized records of all compliance activities. This involves utilizing Microsoft Excel for recording data and generating reports.
  • Monitoring and Analyzing Compliance Data: Staying informed about compliance standard practices and ensuring our company follows them. This includes reviewing current internal procedures, identifying potential risks, and enhancing standard practices.
  • Generating Reports: Developing detailed reports and presentations to communicate compliance information effectively to stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in written and verbal communication is crucial.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with departments like Transmission Planning, Engineering, and Legal to guarantee our business practices comply with regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, environmental science, engineering) preferred.
  • Prior experience in a compliance role within the utility industry is a plus.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with expertise in data analysis and reporting.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and succinctly to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a firm dedication to precision.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adept at identifying and addressing potential risks.
