Risk Remote, New York Minimum Experience **Experienced** *This role is currently remote as a result of Covid. Will consider candidates from any USA location. When safe to return to the NY office, where possible, local employees will be given the option for partial onsite return.*

Position Summary
We are hiring an Information Security Officer - Data who will be responsible for managing the company's overall technical and data security needs. This person will ensure the company's enterprise data and supporting systems are adequately protected against threats, both internal and external, as well as maintained in accordance with relevant industry security frameworks.
What Youll D o
Conceptualize, develop, lead, and implement projects focused on enterprise data security
Coordinate and execute proactive data security consulting to the business and technology teams covering secure database architecture, identity and access management (IAM), secure encryption protocols, etc.
Implement security and data access requirements across a growing product portfolio to ensure confidentiality of customer data
Work with teams to drive remediation of detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
Help colleagues install security solutions and understand information security management
Investigate, manage, and ensure timely resolution of cybersecurity incidents
Implement tools to monitor and investigate threats, attacks, and emerging trends
Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards and make recommendations to management
Perform research and develop actionable solutions to complex technical problems involving security
Responsible for analysis and remediation efforts to maintain compliance with SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO-IEC 27001, NIST, and global and regional security standards
Play a vital role in evolving the security program of a rapidly growing company
*What You'll Need:*
4+ years of experience in information security, data security, or related field
Knowledge of crypto or blockchain preferred
Experience with data governance, DLP, identity management, authentication technologies, log analysis, vulnerability management
Knowledge of secure data encryption protocols and best practices
Experience in secure Systems Development Lifecyle (SDLC) methodologies
Experience in managing pen testing and vulnerability assessment efforts
Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDS/IPS concepts
Experience in cloud technologies (AWS preferred) and relevant security and monitoring controls
Knowledge and/or experience with containerized environments, Kubernetes, docker
Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO-IEC 27001, NIST, COBIT, etc.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
