We are currently looking for a Manager Material Planning in Midland, Texas. As a Manager Material Planning, you will maintain agreed-upon inventory levels to provide a flow of finished goods and components from the distribution center to the service center and/or customer.
**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:**
+ Ensuring that the environment of the inventory stock room is in line with requirements for each product.
+ Managing staffing, development, and performance management of materials management workers. Ensuring proper labor relations.
+ Maintenance and management of cycle counting and reporting.
+ Maintaining optimal inventory levels. Performing inventory analysis and making recommendations for stock levels.
+ Coordinating maintenance and support of inventory management software.
**Skill Descriptors:**
+ **Information Capture: Working Knowledge** of the methods, channels, and processes to obtain needed information; ability to identify, capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized, understandable and easily retrievable manner.
+ **Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Working Knowledge** of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
+ **Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working Knowledge** of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
+ **Problem Solving: Working Knowledge** of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
+ **Distribution Center Management: Basic Knowledge** of distribution processes, issues, and considerations; ability to effectively manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to stores and/or customers.
+ **Inventory Management: Working Knowledge** of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.
+ **Logistics Management: Working Knowledge** of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials, and supplies.
+ **Supply Chain Management: Basic Knowledge** of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices, and tools for controlling the whole processes.
