We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing Demolition company. You will be working with an experienced Financial Controller providing support across all aspects of the company's finance function.
Responsibilities

  • Provide support to and actively participate in the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project setup process
  • Ensure vendor compliance with internal payment processes
  • Assist with collection and review of required documentation for A/P and A/R
  • Process monthly journal and job cost entries
  • Prepare account reconciliations for month-end close
  • Maintain various administrative documents for accounting and jobsite/operations personnel
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance highly preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience within the construction industry may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Familiarity with full-cycle accounting functions, general ledger accounting and GAAP
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines and exercise initiative
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Solution based problem solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Interpersonal skills that allow you to communicate effectively with colleagues from different departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and financial modeling are highly valued
