Purpose:
Proactively support Farwest's quality processes and culture. Ensure parts meet dimensional requirements, drawing tolerances, and edge quality to satisfy customer needs. Monitor welding quality in accordance with Farwest standards. Train peers and operators following Farwest guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections based on Farwest Steel Corp. and industry standards.
- Develop procedures and documentation including QWIs, SOPs, and Quality Manual Revisions.
- Oversee production processes, provide weld sequencing, and perform First Article Inspections.
- Perform NDT on welds and provide training to operators and inspectors.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of print reading, AWS 2.4 Standard Symbols for Welding, and mathematical calculations.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English, PC skills, and measuring tools usage.
Compensation: $28.70 per hour DOE
