Mill-Max Mfg. Corp., one of the world's leading manufacturers of electronic interconnect components seeks a motivated and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic Trainee to join our team in Oyster Bay, NY.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in industrial equipment maintenance. The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training to perform various maintenance tasks, including but not limited to replacing/repairing pumps and executing plumbing repairs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Will learn to diagnose mechanical issues and determine the appropriate repair or replacement of parts such as pumps and plumbing systems.
  • Will gain proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Must follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Safety equipment, such as gloves and protective eyewear, will be provided and must be worn as instructed.
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment that may include exposure to loud noises and varying temperatures.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 year's related experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in learning about machinery and maintenance.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance work is a plus.

Job Details:

  • Reports to Department Manager
  • Full-time, Hourly employee
  • First shift: 7:30AM – 4:00PM, Monday - Friday
  • Pay: $ $24.00 per hour
