Primary Responsibilities:

The Recreation Assistant will lead various recreation group activities and assist with social programming. It is important to prioritize resident safety, maintain confidentiality, and be sensitive to the residents' needs.

Requirements:

  • Valid WA State Driver License
  • Experience in leading group activities and using computers
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passing a DSHS background check

Education and Experience:

  • High-school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience in leading group activities and working with older adults

Required Certifications:

  • First Aid and CPR certified
  • Food Handler's Certificate
  • Washington State Alcohol Permit
  • Caregiver Dementia and Mental Health training
  • 70-hour course for long term care aide certificate
  • Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)
