Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a talented brand leader to fill the role of Sr Director of Brand for our North America Consumer team at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Senior Director of Brand for North America Consumer (NAC) is responsible for leading the brand marketing strategy for the consumer division creating all marketing communication to drive sales, profit and market share in the consumer market.

This role reports to and is a strategic thought partner with the VP of Sales and Marketing for the NAC division.

This individual will lead, develop and motivate a diverse team that covers a wide area of knowledge and experience in eCommerce, market research, traditional and digital advertising, content creation, social media, and direct response that will contribute to brand growth and improving consumer intimacy.

In essence, this role is responsible for delivering on Wahl's vision to be the leading consumer brand in clippers, trimmers, pet, and massage businesses.

This individual will also work closely with the Senior Director of Product Management for North America and global marketing partners to ensure global alignment and a holistic marketing strategy.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Brand Strategy :

Develops and articulates the brand/marketing strategy to increase brand preference, brand engagement, and reinforce Wahl's distinctiveness in the marketplace.

Works cross functionally internally and with external partners to uncover consumer insights and deliver innovative marketing campaigns to attract customers and improve customer experience.

Conducts research and analysis to understand how to engage the target consumer.

Develops plans that increases engagement of current customers, and attracts new customers resulting in increased sales, profit, and market share.


Marketing Communication :
Leads the translation of the Wahl brand, mission, and values into a strategic marketing communication plan. This includes leading and integrating all aspects of integrated marketing communications including agency relationships, traditional and digital marketing.

This person will work closely with product management and lead the marketing team to develop and plan strong end-to-end marketing campaigns.

This position sets and hits KPI's around brand awareness, preference, ROAS, TACOS and such.

Ecommerce:
Create impactful strategies covering all ecommerce channels.

A center of excellence on Amazon, , etc, this role will work closely with Product Management in creating the necessary assets to support the successful launch in these channels.

Collaborates with global ecommerce teams to maximize local while sharing best practices globally around SEO and SEM.

Financial Results :
Responsible for hitting all divisional sales and profit goals and developing and maintaining the annual marketing communication budget.

Compliance :

Works with legal and compliance departments to ensure all legal standards applicable to marketing, particularly as it relates to privacy policy and customer data is followed.

Ensures employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field. Master's degree preferred
10+ years as a strategic marketing or brand leadership
Consumer packaged goods experience, durable goods preferred.
Strategic competency and ability to demonstrate a track record of success.
Experience in leading and developing a high-performance marketing team that work across multiple categories and product portfolios.
Experience in developing marketing programs and go-to-market strategies for multiple retail channels.
Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind.

Proven ability to develop brand marketing strategies to include strategic planning, digital campaigns, brand communications, consumer insights, social, paid search, SEO, programmatic, direct response, digital analytics, content creation and public relations.

Knowledge of programmatic advertising, direct response important
Experience with Amazon vendor central and Amazon advertising, Walmart Connect, Citrus, Criteo and the like.
High degree of business acumen - classic and digital marketing, budget management and P&L understanding.
Ability to effectively communicate at executive level.
Ability to work cross functionally with multiple business functions.
Ability to clearly articulate a compelling vision and strategy.
Lead agency & other partner relationships.
This position is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.
