Control Systems Engineer Career Opportunity

We are working with a company who specializes in Automation Solutions, I&E Construction Services, Power Generation and Packaged Equipment for the Energy and Industrial markets. Their expertise encompasses the full spectrum of system technologies from pneumatic - hydraulic control systems to state-of-the-art programmable solutions to chemical injection systems, and everything in-between.
They want to hire a Control Systems Engineer with experience in designing, developing, programming, and testing of PLC and/or DCS-based Control Systems in the Industrial Energy sector.
What Will You Be Doing?
  • Development of Control System Functional Specifications.
  • Control System Design and capacity analysis.
  • Development of PLC and HMI/ SCADA software applications compliant with customer/company specifications and/or applicable industry standards.
  • Development / Execution of Test Procedures.
  • Development of Operations Manuals.
  • Remote Support / Troubleshooting of system after installation.
  • Coordination with project team for scheduling/ scope management and execution.
What Will You Need To Be Successful?
  • 3+ years of Petrochemical experience with 1 or more years of programming experience.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in any of the following fields: Electrical / Computer Engineering or Control Systems.
  • 3 + years' experience of Controller/ PLC programming (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix).
  • Experience in reading and understanding P&IDs and general process specifications.
  • Safety within control system application.
  • 1+ years of HMI programming (Wonderware, Allen-Bradley).
  • Knowledge of multiple Control Communication Protocols – Ethernet IP, Modbus, OPC/DA, OPC/UA, PROFIBUS/net, CIP, DLR.
  • 3+ years' experience in the Oil & Gas industrial sector is a plus
  • Knowledge of Network Architecture.
  • Experience working on PlantPAx system is a plus.
  • Experience working with Yokogawa DCS is a plus.
  • Other controllers, HMIs and general programming languages are a plus.
  • Controller, I/O, communication module specification, configuration, and wiring.
  • Development of documentation (Functional Specification, Control Narrative, I/O List, Cause and Effect, Operations Manual, Testing Procedure)
This is a full time, direct hire opportunity in Houston, Texas.

Salary is between $120,000 to $150,000 per year.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
