The Schultz Campus for Jewish Life offers an array of services to the surrounding communities including great recreation & wellness programs.

The Shaw JCC is looking to for
Group Exercise Instructors to lead various classes that include our Spinning Class (substitute), Silver Sneakers, and Strength & Conditioning (TRX).


The
Group Exercise Instructors will provide support, encouragement and instruction for members to achieve their fitness goals safely and without injury and over-exertion.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Leads and delivers group exercise classes based on industry standards and formats during scheduled times.
  • Instructs members on effective workout methods and techniques, demonstrates exercises, explaining methods and
modifications.

  • Provides clear verbal instructions that will ensure the conductivity of the class through music, teaching, learning and fun.
  • Coaches and motivates class participants to achieve their fitness goals safely without injury and overexertion.

Requirements

Certificates and License:

  • American Red Cross CPR/AED certification
  • ARC First Aide certification
  • Group Exercise certification(s)
  • Maintain nationally recognized group fitness certification by ACE, AFAA, ACSM, Spinning, Zumba, and TRX

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
