Description
Buena Vista University is seeking a skilled professional to serve as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position supports the Director of Athletic Training with 21 NCAA III varsity sports programs, including emerging programs for Women's Wrestling and STUNT. Responsibilities include working closely with student-athletes, coaches, and medical professionals to perform athletic training services for varsity athletic teams. Team assignments are coordinated with the Director. This is a full-time position with an agreed-upon eight weeks off throughout the year.
This position is eligible for a $2,000 signing bonus. The cost of State Licensure & NATA Membership is covered by the institution and a CEU allowance is provided.
Qualified applicants will have their BOC Certification and be eligible for Iowa Licensure. A bachelor's degree is required and a master's degree is preferred. Experience with college athletic training coverage and certification to teach first-aid and CPR is preferred, but not required.
