Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:
Instructional Approaches
- Deliver the designated curriculum for the district
- Create lessons that cater to diverse student learning styles
- Employ suitable instructional strategies, activities, materials, and resources that align with students' learning preferences
- Collaborate with special education educators to adapt curricula for special needs students based on IEP guidelines
- Work with fellow staff members to establish instructional objectives and methods in line with district standards
- Integrate technology to enhance the teaching and learning process
- Organize and oversee assignments for teacher aides and volunteers
- Assist in the selection of educational materials
Student Progress and Development
- Guide students in analyzing and enhancing their study techniques and habits
- Conduct continuous evaluations of student progress through formal and informal assessments
- Take on responsibilities for extracurricular activities as assigned and oversee approved external activities under the campus principal's guidance
- Act as a positive role model for students and uphold the school district's mission
Classroom Management and Organization
- Establish a conducive learning environment that aligns with students' physical, social, and emotional needs
- Manage student conduct according to the Student Code of Conduct and school handbook
- Ensure necessary precautions are taken to safeguard students, equipment, materials, and facilities
Communication
- Foster and maintain open communication through meetings with parents, students, principals, and colleagues
- Utilize effective communication skills to deliver information accurately and clearly
Professional Development and Growth
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance job-related skills
- Stay updated on and adhere to state, district, and school regulations and policies for educators
- Organize, keep, and manage all physical and digital reports, records, and necessary documentation
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in staff committees as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise assigned teacher aide(s).
