Overview


The main goal of the Senior Solution Architect role is to evaluate business initiatives and develop the solution architecture for the Commerce Information Technology department within the FLNA Sales Transformation initiative. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing internal knowledge within PepsiCo and delivering cutting-edge architectural solutions for PFNA.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer innovative commerce platform solution architecture for PepsiCo's PFNA business sector.
  • Lead delivery teams by leveraging cloud-native principles, modern software development technologies (Java-based Microservices, Event-Driven Programming, React Native, HTML5), and contemporary software development methodologies (Lean, Agile, SAFE, DevOps, CI/CD).
  • This leadership position involves collaboration with various IT layers, the wider organization, and external partners.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Create solution architecture across multiple teams for B2B/B2C Commerce, supporting the software lifecycle from Strategic Design to deployment while ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Analyze and assess business, functional, and technical requirements; drive solution decisions in line with Strategic Design principles.
  • Mentor team members through architecture/design reviews, promote knowledge sharing, and ensure continuous improvement practices for quality and time-to-market efficiency.
  • Foster partnerships across PepsiCo by engaging with diverse stakeholders like Enterprise Architects, Sector Delivery Teams, and Business Leaders, leveraging expertise in enterprise functions such as security and performance.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to third-party resources and globally distributed employee teams.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risk areas, troubleshoot issues, and ensure resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field; Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the software industry.
  • At least 3 years of solution architecture experience on eCommerce platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead teams, and craft solutions that meet customer requirements effectively.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Solution Architect in a large, complex organization.
  • Proficiency in architecture design patterns, systems integration, microservices, and Agile implementation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills to optimize business processes through technology and integration solutions.
  • Capability to drive the deployment of new technologies that enhance business value.
  • Passion for staying updated on emerging technologies and participating in projects that push the boundaries of current tech capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Consumer Goods industry and common go-to-market strategies.
  • Ability to acquire new skills, work autonomously, and guide development teams effectively.
