Builds and maintains application Web Servers using Oracle development tools PL/SQL. Develops, deploys, and supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environments using Oracle RDS and DynamoDB. Builds, develops, and maintains solutions in ETL technologies. Performs API development in large scale, highly available Enterprise class platforms.

Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives.

Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participates in architecture design teams.

Defines and implements application level architecture.

Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.

Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

Education and Experience:


Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience implementing data solutions in online transaction processing (OLTP), operational data store (ODS), and data warehousing environments.


Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience implementing data solutions in online transaction processing (OLTP), operational data store (ODS), and data warehousing environments.

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") architecting, designing, developing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions (data pipe lines) and migrating On-premises data from different databases into enterprise SnowFlake data warehouses using AWS cloud infrastructures and services and Cloud Formation templates, Relational Database Services (RDS), Data Migration Services, EC2, Lambda, S3, Dynamo DB, Simple Queue Services (SQS), Simple Notification Service (SNS), AWS Glue and Cloud watch schedules; and using enterprise data to perform analytical data processing and business critical reporting to further process the downstream systems/business solutions.


DE architecting, designing, and developing backend applications according to business user requirements using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; retrieving and injecting real time data to and from online applications using REST services; designing and developing Unix Shell and Oracle PL/SQL scripts to bulk load data from data systems into ODS according to business user requirements; and designing and developing Control-M jobs to automate and schedule end-to-end processes.


DE designing and implementing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes by developing mappings and workflows using Informatica tool; developing Perl and UNIX shell scripts for processing ETL workflows, including performing data profiling, data mining, specifying, extracting, cleansing, and analyzing large data warehouses, using SQL Developer, Toad, and Informatica; designing conceptual and physical data models using ERStudio; and generating visual insights for business and end users using SAP BO (business intelligence) reports.


DE performing SQL performance fine tuning, end-to-end batch performance, SQL query troubleshooting, problem resolution for business-critical databases, and database technology troubleshooting using AWR reports, Snapshots, Tuning Advisor, GV$ Views; and administering databases using OEM (oracle enterprise management) cloud control.
