Responsibilities:

  • Regularly visit veterinary offices, labs, and institutions in an assigned sales territory to reach budgeted sales volume and other objectives
  • Maintain and expand existing accounts, along with acquiring new accounts to boost market penetration
  • Actively seek, pursue, and conclude equipment and technology sales in the designated territory
  • Manage and grow the existing consumables base
  • Generate leads for technology offerings, exclusive products, and capital equipment
  • Develop presentations and price quotes for customers
  • Meet forecasted goals effectively
  • Promote Patterson Vet marketing programs and showcase new products
  • Participate in meetings and activities as directed by the Branch Manager, Region, or General office
  • Perform other assigned duties as a Veterinary Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

Veterinary Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Minimum Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree
  • Three or more years of experience in business-to-business sales
  • Three or more years of experience in the HEALTH/VETERINARY industry

Veterinary Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in direct, retail, or telephone sales
  • Familiarity with the veterinary industry or relevant experience
  • Proficiency in PC skills including spreadsheets and word processing software
  • Ability to analyze financial information
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
