Required Experience

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) or completion of technical school
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a line cook with training

Primary Responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and staff
  • Follow planned menus and use standard recipes
  • Plate food according to portion guidelines and garnishing instructions
  • Assist other kitchen staff as necessary and perform additional assigned duties

  • Maintain food freshness, proper cooking status, and seasoning
  • Clean and stock station for the next shift

General Working Conditions

This role involves prolonged standing. The employee should effectively communicate with others, perform various physical tasks, and have the ability to review documents and operate computers. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. Interaction with others and occasional travel may also be part of the job.
