Responsible for operational execution and aligning product development with the Embedded Finance roadmap and market demands.

The product owner collaborates directly with product managers and technical teams to develop and refine APIs and platform integrations that enhance client financial operations.

This position is crucial for translating high-level business and technology strategies into detailed, actionable plans that deliver brand-defining experiences focused on embedded financial solutions.

The product owner efforts are critical in maintaining the integrity and progression of embedded finance projects, from conception to the market launch and ongoing enhancements and support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Align the product backlog with the strategic roadmap and business goals to ensure that development efforts support overarching objectives
  • Define detailed product features and requirements, ensuring clear and actionable inputs for development teams.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to manage agile planning and implementation processes, ensuring effective execution of project milestones
  • Support the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for Embedded Finance products
  • Lead and coordinate training efforts for internal teams and stakeholders, enhancing understanding and support for API and Platform Integration functionalities
  • Perform triage on critical issues, escalating as necessary, and communicating consistently and clearly with all concerned parties
  • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously refine and improve offerings
  • Update leadership on the epic and feature delivery schedule, including dependencies impacting deliverables, along with recommended solutions.
  • Work with integration partners and platform providers to coordinate tasks and align development efforts

Risk Management:

Ensure all Product Management Lifecycle (PML) process & procedures are followed, supporting security, risk, audit, and more, and ensure action items and deadlines are met.

Partner with product manager on evidence to support recommendations.

  • Mentor other Product Owners on product delivery practices.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; or related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Ten or more years of banking, financial services, or other relevant work experience
  • Five or more years of product, analysis, technology, and/or design experience
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Previous experience working as a Product Owner
  • Experience defining and delivering large-scale business initiatives to execute on a product roadmap, including stakeholder management, requirements elicitation, test planning/support and business-level product validation
  • Demonstrated technical acumen and an ability to work with the technology organization to align product and technology roadmaps
  • Proven ability to translate strategic plans into tactical daily actions for execution
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate product features and benefits to stakeholders and ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementations
  • Proven ability to navigate complex product landscapes and deliver solutions that meet both client needs and business objectives
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, leading working autonomously and making independent decisions
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans to resolve issues
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environments and changing requirements, as well as the ability to think strategically about new product innovations.
  • Experience in roles requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills & the creation and delivery of succinct executive-level presentations to explain and sell plans/vision
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; banking or financial management education
  • Experience working with distributed teams (onshore/offshore)
  • Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (or equivalent)
