Job Description


Infosys is seeking a Junior Java Developer -This position's primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks.

The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development.

The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best-practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.

This position is based out of Omaha, NE. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of the location or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications Basic

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience with Java, C++, Python
Preferred skills

  • At least 3+ years of experience in software development life cycle.
  • At least 3+ years of experience development with Java, C++, HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Knowledge of SQL, or any other database.
  • Experience in coding and design skills with strong understanding of design patterns/ frameworks/ data models
  • Experience in Modernize monolithic to Microservices with best practice, design patterns and principles (DDD) and migrate to PaaS
  • Experience understanding user requirements thoroughly, practical experience with SDLC concepts and associated tools like Source code control systems, Development tools, Defect tracking systems, Incident management systems.
  • Ability to work in team environment and have good client interfacing skills.
  • Ability to contribute in complex design related activities apart from Coding, review and testing activities.
  • Ability to do technical research and work on POCs
  • Ability to identify areas of Automation and implement using tools and reusable components
  • Ability to take risks in design, pushing past the obvious, and bringing user centric approach to design solutions
  • Willingness to learn new technologies/products on the job
  • Experience working in and have good understanding of Development process like Agile, waterfall
  • Experience of working in an Onshore-Offshore model
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
