Required Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and oversight to district partnerships
  • Conduct regular visits to various sites
  • Collaborate with the Office of School Readiness - First Class PreK team
  • Offer instructional and financial assistance to designated schools
  • Advocate for the establishment of school and classroom objectives in line with the strategic plan of the Mobile County Public School System
  • Lead and supervise the implementation of best practices based on data analysis for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and enhancement
  • Collaborate closely with the MCPSS Academic Affairs department, reporting to the Executive Director of Federal Programs or assigned individual
  • Aid school personnel in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting school-related data
  • Support in formulating, executing, revising, and evaluating Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) for schools
  • Advise on optimal resource utilization by schools (time, funds, personnel, etc.)
  • Assist in identifying and removing obstacles to facilitate school-wide agreement for change
  • Work in conjunction with school leadership, faculty, and other Local Educational Agency (LEA) members
  • Present monthly progress summaries to the Executive Director of Federal Programs or assigned party
  • Monitor schools' resource allocations to ensure alignment with CIP goals and objectives
  • Ensure the incorporation of effective strategies in the CIP to address underperforming students
  • Track and analyze comparison, trend, and benchmark data to evaluate school/classroom performance and guide enhancement endeavors
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities
  • Manage the coordination of resources between Federal and Regular Programs
  • Undertake any additional duties allocated by the Executive Director of Federal Programs

Required Qualifications:

- Possession of a valid Appropriate Alabama Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education

- Hold a Master's Degree or higher in Education from an accredited college or university

- Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience

- Demonstrated expertise in implementing best practices for coaching and training in School Improvement, with a track record of utilizing data-driven decision-making

- Familiarity with Office of School Readiness (OSR) Guidelines for First Class Pre-Kindergarten Program
