Job Summary

Metrology Technician III role involves providing daily support for the Metrology Program by calibrating IMTE, guiding workflow, and inspecting fixtures and tooling using CMM during the Swing shift from 2:00 PM-10:30 PM.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Calibration of dimensional measuring equipment to NIST standards, repairs, and uncertainty analysis.
  • Installation and modification of equipment, automated procedure development, and adherence to Quality Systems requirements.
  • Troubleshooting, design modifications, technical guidance, safety compliance, effective collaboration, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining records, evaluating test data, serving as a lead resource for problem resolution, and overseeing lower-level employees.
  • Acting as the primary technical contact for customers and performing assigned duties.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • High school diploma with 6+ years of experience in the field OR Associates degree in engineering technology with 4 years of experience.
  • Formal military PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school training.
  • Previous customer service experience is advantageous.
  • U.S. Citizenship Status is necessary due to client requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Met/Cal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technology, especially Excel.
  • PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school experience is a plus.
