Job Summary
Metrology Technician III will provide day to day support for the Metrology Program Calibrating IMTE and guiding workflow with other technicians.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Calibration of physical measuring equipment to NIST standards, including repairs and uncertainty analysis.
* Installation and modification of equipment, development of automated procedures, and adherence to Quality Systems requirements.
* Conducts troubleshooting, design modifications, and provides technical guidance to customers and operators.
* Ensures safety compliance, collaborates effectively, and participates in process improvement initiatives.
* Maintains records, evaluates test data, and serves as a lead resource for complex problem resolution.
* May oversee lower-level employees, adapt procedures as needed, and provide activity reports to management.
* Acts as the primary technical contact for assigned customer groups and performs other assigned duties.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
* High school diploma with 6+ years experience in the field, OR Associates degree in engineering technology or other relevant field and 4 years experience. Formal military PMEL, TMDE or calibration school training with proof of attendance.
* Previous customer service experience is a plus
* U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
* IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track and Met/Cal experience a plus+.
* Proficient using Microsoft technology, including Excel
* PMEL, TMDE or calibration school a plus+
