Position: Student Professional Services III

  • RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Responsible for fostering a culture of student success by providing inspiration, direction, and academic support to help students achieve their goals. Coordinates activities and programs at the Social Justice, Equity, & Inclusion Center (SJEIC). Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Work and Supervision | 40%: Creating a sense of community among diverse student groups and providing leadership development activities and support. Collaborates with various student groups and organizations to offer mentorship and academic support services.
  • Program Development, Oversight, and Assessment | 30%: Manages SJEIC operations, programming, and student staff. Develops campus-wide programs to raise awareness about social justice issues and cultural identity.
  • Campus Resources and Outreach Support | 25%: Promotes collaboration between SJEIC and other campus units. Represents the organization on university committees.
  • Budget Oversight and Associated Students Interface | 5%: Assists in managing Social Justice Center budgets and finances.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, Communication, or related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of professional student services work experience. Experience with diverse student populations is a plus.
  • Other Skills/Knowledge: Understanding of challenges faced by underrepresented students. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to create an inclusive campus environment. Knowledge of counseling techniques and student affairs practices.

Must be available to work regular hours with occasional evening or weekend service. Background check required. Flexibility with work schedule. Possibility of remote work days.

Hiring Range: $5,025 - $5,176 per month

Potential for up to two remote workdays per week based on operational needs.
