Human Resources Generalist

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full-cycle recruiting for exempt and nonexempt positions.
  • Payroll management including time and attendance, time off accruals, biweekly payroll processing, and payroll reporting.
  • Administer employee insurance, benefit programs and perks: eligibility, open enrollment, invoice reconciliation, and COBRA.
  • Help plan and facilitate employee-centered communications and activities.
  • Assist department heads with training program development and facilitation.
  • Support policy and procedure development and related forms and templates.
  • Advocate new hire success through onboarding process.
  • Administer performance management program including evaluations, goals, and discipline.
  • Manage claims reporting: unemployment, workers compensation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain complete, up-to-date employee records including personnel files.
  • Provide shared incoming telephone call coverage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):

  • On-time, accurate Payroll Processing
  • Employee Requisition Process Improvement
  • Compliance/Critical deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Solid knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Understands when to escalate issues as required.
  • Strong business sense and acumen.
  • Relates well with all levels within the organization.
  • Works effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel (VLOOKUPS, PivotTables, graphs).
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Paychex or ADP experience a plus

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-5 years of HR / Generalist experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience with HRIS, payroll software programs, and system conversions.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources field or equivalent experience.
