Child Care Specialist

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Child Care Program Administrator at the Office of Child Development and Early Learning. Your main role will be managing a caseload of clients receiving subsidized child care funding and ensuring compliance with all state regulations and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of clients and process applications and redeterminations of eligibility;
- Demonstrate understanding of funding sources and application process;
- Participate in appeal hearings and collaborate with Fiscal staff;
- Prepare documentation for overpayment recoupment and welfare fraud referrals;
- Show sensitivity to cultural and economic differences in client populations;
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field;
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in interviewing or casework;
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills;
- Knowledge of DHS regulations and computer literacy;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to new responsibilities.
Physical Demands:
The job requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing. Occasionally, it involves lifting up to 25 pounds and using hands/arms for various tasks. Specific vision abilities are also necessary for this role.
Work Environment: The work environment is usually moderate in terms of noise level.
