Job Description

Overview: Are you a detail-oriented Project Engineer looking to join a top-notch specialty concrete construction company? We need someone who can handle RFIs, submittals, quantities, and takeoffs with ease. If you have 2-3 years of project engineering experience in construction and know your way around takeoff software like On-screen Takeoff or Bluebeam, you might just be the perfect fit.

Responsibilities:

  • RFIs and Submittals:
  • - Prepare, review, and manage RFIs and submittals for clear communication with project stakeholders.
  • - Coordinate with project managers, architects, and clients to resolve issues.
  • - Keep detailed records of all RFIs and submittals throughout the project.
  • Quantity Takeoffs:
  • - Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using software like On-screen Takeoff or Bluebeam.
  • - Review project plans to determine material quantities accurately.
  • - Make sure takeoffs are precise to support project estimates.
  • Project Coordination:
  • - Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.
  • - Monitor project progress and ensure timelines and budgets are met.
  • - Communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • - Keep project documentation organized and up-to-date.
  • - Prepare project status reports for management and clients.
  • - Track project performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Technical Support:
  • - Provide technical support to project teams.
  • - Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • - Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • - 2-3 years of project engineering experience in construction.
  • - Proficiency in takeoff software like On-screen Takeoff or Bluebeam.
  • - Strong analytical and mathematical skills for detailed quantity takeoffs.
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • - Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • - Knowledge of construction industry standards and codes.
