Responsibilities

Clinical Excellence/Patient Care

Takes charge of developing patient care plans in line with unit standards and the specific needs of the patient population. Delegates tasks effectively to other healthcare team members, ensuring proper follow-up and collaboration. Conducts thorough admission assessments, formulates nursing diagnoses, and establishes care goals in consultation with patients and their families. Implements care plans following nursing best practices, evidence-based guidelines, and hospital protocols. Collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient care outcomes. Administers medications and treatments within the scope of practice. Embraces patient education throughout the hospitalization, focusing on customized teaching strategies and promoting health maintenance.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited nursing program Current RN licensure in the State of Iowa or compact state Current BCLS certification Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension) Multicultural sensitivity Proficiency in nursing procedures and medication therapy Basic computer skills including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) management
