Avionics/Electrical Technician Senior at GAC St. Louis
Unique Skills: Weekend Shift. Aviation experience is preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 6 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field; or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and 4 years of related experience.
- A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification is preferred.
Position Purpose:
Provides leadership, technical expertise, and guidance in performing operational tests and repairs of avionics/electronic systems to ensure aircraft are defect-free. Implements process changes to reduce costs and meet schedules without compromising Safety or Quality.
Job Description:
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates superior technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting. Provides training to support company cross-training goals.
- Ensures quality and efficiency in all installations. Demonstrates effective repair techniques and conducts necessary tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
Additional Functions:
- Self-inspection capability for all avionics testing functions. May include flight tests as required. Performs other assigned duties.
Other Requirements:
- Preferred proficiency in troubleshooting aircraft systems other than avionics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Proficiency in English language.
