Job Summary:
We at CAT Digital are building a state-of-the-art platform to springboard a wide range of customer-focused applications.

We are looking for a Lead Technical Product wner to join our Platform Services team focusing on the Alert and Notification service that enables drawing users' attention to issues that are critical to their business needs.


What You Will Do:


The Technical Product Owner works intimately with the Scrum Team with the primary task of creating and managing the Product Backlog and to ensure everyone knows the priorities and assisting the scrum team to meet the objectives of each sprint.

Responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development TeamResponsible for acting as Product Owner for larger, more complex projects with high value to the organizationResponsible for creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the projectCommunicate Product Backlog priorities to the teamAct as the key decision-maker regarding what features the product will haveResponsible for the vision of what is to be built, and conveying that vision to the teamCollaborate with Lead Engineers on decomposition of epics, themes and features into user stories that are small enough, or granular enough, to be achieved in a single sprint.

Negotiate business requirements and their release dates with Product and development teams.
Responsible for conveying the vision and goals at the beginning of every sprint.
Responsible for defect management and prioritizationWork closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization.

Responsible for making decisions on release dates and contentRepresent the customer, interfacing and engaging with the customerLeading the Daily ScrumLead the sprint planning, Reveals, Retrospectives and sprint demosInspect the product progress at the end of every Sprint and accept or reject the work that has been done by the Development TeamAct as the voice of the team, communicating status externallyBe a good role model of Scrum values; understand the framework and the roles of each team memberBe a champion for the agile community and help to further the community within the organizationWhat You Will Have:

This position should be familiar with project management methodologies as they will participate in multiple projects representing expertise for the application or process.

Strong ability to communicate across various groups and at all levels of the business that include stakeholders, business partners, customers and vendors.

Manages software product change requests from customers, vendors, and internal staff.
Knowledge of software engineering concepts that include development, testing, integrations and deployment of software or applications.
Experience with managing products using Cloud technologies.
Experienced with the business aspects and operation of digital products that include developing system software and integration platforms.
Thorough understanding of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.

Consideration For Top Candidates:


Four-year Bachelor's degree preferably in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, engineering or related field3+ years of experience as a technical product ownerMust have a strong understanding of software development and technologies that may include Java 1.8 or newer, RESTful API and AWS cloud development Experience managing product backlogs using Agile software tools such as Mingle, VSTS, JIRA, Team Services, Rally, Azure DevOpsExperience in deploying and maintaining software in public clouds such as AWS.

Proven experience in designing and developing software solutions at scale.

Experience working with onshore/offshore team model Experience in design and development of cloud-native software solutions at scale in Java or Scala.

Previous experience in leading a technical team while simultaneously managing multiple projects.

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; Dallas, TX or Denver, CO offices with a flexible hybrid work environment.
