Description

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the planning, design and execution of system testing on simple to complex projects including simple forms, websites, product implementations, and fully custom-developed software. The QA Analyst works collaboratively within the application development team and business unit overall to create acceptance tests, assess the quality of releasable software, and create automated scripts that, when executed, quickly assess the quality of the Assurance Analysts at Tyler are responsible for creating a clear audit trail on all software changes. The QA Analyst is also responsible for ensuring the end-user experience is top of mind, with a continued awareness of modern design standards, best practices, and accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

Test and validate program modules to meet specifications and process standards. Validate software releases prior to distribution. Execute test plans and test cases of typically minimal complexity for all testing assignments. Design, deliver and maintain automated exploratory tests to validate software functionality. Ensure application compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Write test scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to be performed by clients and partners. Assist with documenting and executing exploratory, functional, regression, end-to-end, and any other testing approaches necessary to ensure effective product test coverage. Work with the development and operations teams to develop strategies for testing and automation. Identify and document software defects in the issue-tracking system and proactively communicate with software developers.

Experience / Education

3+ years' experience in a QA testing environment. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills involving sound decision making and effective resolutions. Experience developing automated tests. Experience with .Net and Microsoft environments (preferred) Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies Knowledge and experience with accessibility compliance. Keen attention to detail. Strong planning and organizational skills involving the ability to manage multiple work streams effectively. Experience in API services testing and automating the same using different tools is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills involving the ability to communicate verbally and in writing technical and non-technical information. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team. Ability to be effective in a fast-paced environment.
