Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Ready Mix- Plant Operations Manager.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to take the helm of our plant operations, leading a dedicated team and ensuring the highest standards of production and service delivery.

This role is integral to our operations, requiring a dynamic individual who can balance operational efficiency, quality control, safety compliance, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in concrete production, plant management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee all aspects of the concrete plant operations, including production, dispatch, maintenance, and quality control.
  • Implement and manage efficient and effective operational procedures to ensure maximum productivity and minimum downtime.
  • Coordinate with the truck dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of ready mix concrete to job sites.
  • Develop and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for operational enhancements and implementing strategies to realize these improvements.
  • Manage and lead a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders, including staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and manage the operational budget, monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Ensure that the plant and all operations comply with environmental and other regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically in concrete production and plant management.
  • Extensive knowledge of ready mix concrete production and delivery processes.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams, with strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in truck dispatch operations.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement principles and methodologies, with a track record of successful implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using plant management software and other relevant computer applications.
  • A commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
