What You'll Do

The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the high-quality compassionate kidney care provided to our patients. This role will report to the Lead, Medical Assistant.

The Day to Day
  • Executes on the measurement, collection, and recording of vital signs, phlebotomy, etc.
  • Supports functions including answering telephone calls, retrieving medical records from doctor's offices, recording charts in the medical record patient intake, and appointment scheduling.
  • Enters documentation in the patient's medical record by inputting medications, patient demographics and history, care documentation, and pharmacy information.
  • Ensures complete patients registration including verifying consents, demographic information.
  • Serves patients and perform patient visits in multiple care settings as defined by role including patient home, clinics, partner MD space, and via telehealth/virtual visits.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years combined of related education, experience, or certification.
  • Graduate from a medical assistant program such as Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, OR Graduate of a formal medical assistant program.
  • Current BLS or CPR Certification required.
  • Efficient and reliable transportation allowing for the ability to commute to patient homes.
  • Provides in-person patient care which may include standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
