Our unwavering mission is to inspire youth—especially those who need us most—to achieve their full potential in a safe, positive, and engaging environment. We offer a wide range of programs to youth ages 4 to 18 years old, including after-school programming, school break day camps, and summer camps. Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Director of Club Safety and Operations, the Logistics and Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily logistics and operational tasks within the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro. This role ensures efficient handling of equipment, resources, and services from acquisition to program delivery. The incumbent will work closely with various departments to streamline operations, manage inventory, partner with procurement, and optimize BGCSL's internal supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Coordinate and Monitor Equipment and Supplies:

  • Coordinate and monitor equipment and supplies related to facility and safety operations.
  • Manage, support, and track site equipment needed to execute programs on a day-to-day basis.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure timely supply of equipment relative to program and facility operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and generate reports on inventory status.
  • Under the guidance of the Director of Club Safety and Operations, optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Operational Processes:

  • Coordinate and implement new processes or technologies as guided by the Director of Club Safety and Operations.
  • Provide dotted line support to Safety and IT Managers as instructed through department Director.
  • Coordinate with and travel to club site locations to ensure site equipment/operation package aligns with organizational goals.
  • Maintain necessary documentation for regulatory compliance and auditing purposes.
  • Communicate with the program team to understand their equipment needs and address any issues when applicable.
  • Provide training to current and new staff on logistical procedures related to equipment.
  • Resolve any operational issues quickly and efficiently.
Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management preferred but not required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in logistics software or transport management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, and Planner).
  • Strong in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong working relationships at all staff levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage budgets, prioritize daily tasks, and maintain focus on long-term goals.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment may vary; light to moderate.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus (computer work, read and review documents, reports and equipment serial #s, and safe driving to school sites).
