LakeHouse Senior Living is seeking Care/Medication Technicians for Lakehouse New Holstein community.
The Care Giver/Med Tech role involves offering hands-on care, both physically and emotionally, to each resident while ensuring a secure and pleasant home-like setting.
Responsibilities:
Care Giver:
Oversee a designated group of residents throughout the shift, keeping track of their whereabouts and conducting regular physical checks.
Observe, record, and report any changes in residents' conditions, such as skin condition, behavior, alertness, weight, diet, and participation in activities.
Respond promptly to security alerts and resident call bells.
Inform supervisor or Health Care Coordinator of any residents with increased care requirements.
Assist with continence management and ensure proper disposal of related products for resident and communal sanitation.
Serve and clear food trays, reporting any meal refusals or appetite loss.
Maintain cleanliness in residents' rooms and work areas.
Adhere to standard hygiene and health precautions.
Support residents in maintaining independence, dignity, and physical safety.
Engage residents in daily living activities and life skills.
Greet and assist various individuals effectively and courteously.
Handle resident laundry as needed.
Medication Tech duties:
Review service plans to understand relevant resident information.
Administer and monitor medications and treatments for each resident, following correct procedures and documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident data, including medication details.
Report any concerns regarding resident care during medication assistance to the Nurse or Health Care Coordinator.
Restock medication cart after each administration.
Participate in medication checks and upkeep of Medication Room and related supplies.
Facilitate medication refills as required.
Contribute to Service Plan development and updates.
Take and log vital signs, reporting any occupational exposures promptly.
Carry out other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18 years.
CPR Certification is a plus.
First Aid Certification is advantageous.
Prior experience working with seniors is beneficial.
