Global Marketing Director, Neurology (UPLIZNA)

What you will do


In this vital role as the steward of the UPLIZNA Neurology franchise, you will collaborate with, and inspire and influence global marketing leaders within the Rare Disease Business Units to blend insights from various stages of the product lifecycle into Uplizna's overarching commercial strategy.

This includes forging strong connections with local markets to incorporate regional insights at crucial junctures, ensuring a well-rounded and effective market penetration strategy.

In your capacity as the Global Marketing Director for Neurology, UPLIZNA, collaboration will be a cornerstone of your strategy.

You will work closely with the IgG4 and Strategy leads to ensure alignment and develop integrated strategies within the UPLIZNA Franchise.

Moreover, you will have the responsibility to report into the Integrated Brand Team (IBT) as necessary, ensuring a cohesive approach across all facets of the franchise.


Success in this role hinges on a robust foundation in strategic marketing or a related field (e.g., Global Value, Access & Policy), a keen scientific curiosity, and the agility to rapidly assimilate insights from diverse therapeutic areas and customer segments.

Additionally, you must possess the ability to navigate uncertainty, making informed decisions and recommendations in ambiguous situations.

Your drive, vision, and leadership will be key to propelling the Uplizna Neurology franchise forward, making a tangible difference in the lives of patients navigating complex neurological conditions.


  • Lead the strategic marketing efforts for Uplizna and other neurology assets, focusing on inline indications, upcoming launches, and earlystage clinical development.
  • Develop and implement robust global launch strategies that address patient needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
  • Oversee the generation of evidence to support the value proposition of our neurology portfolio, ensuring alignment with commercial goals and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams, affiliates, and key stakeholders to integrate insights and strategies across all stages of product development and marketing.
  • Inspire and influence the organization, driving a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Provide visionary leadership in a complex and evolving therapeutic area, guiding the team towards achieving strategic objectives and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience

OR

Master's degree and 7 years of marketing experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 9 years of marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, business, or a related field, with a strong preference for an MBA.
  • Extensive experience in strategic marketing, product launches, and brand management within the neurology therapeutic area.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead evidence generation initiatives in clinical development stages, articulating the value of our assets to diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional collaborative skills, with a history of working effectively with crossfunctional teams, affiliates, and external partners to achieve shared goals.
  • Inspirational leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate teams, drive organizational change, and influence outcomes across the company.
  • Deep understanding of the global healthcare landscape, market access challenges, regulatory requirements, and the competitive environment in neurology.
  • Strategic thinker with the agility to navigate complex situations, make informed decisions, and guide teams through challenges and opportunities.
