Overview


We're thrilled to offer an amazing opportunity for a skilled and motivated CNC Machining Specialist to join our team in Bloomfield, CT working the 2nd shift.

Kaman Specialty Bearings & Engineered Products, part of Kaman Corporation, excels in designing and manufacturing high-precision mechanical products for aviation, marine, hydropower, and industrial applications.

This position entails working 3:30PM - 1AM, with one hour of mandatory overtime at the end of the shift, totaling a 45-hour week that includes OT pay at 1.5x the hourly rate for hours exceeding 40 in a week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate multi-axis CNC machining centers to perform diverse machining operations with precision and accuracy.
  • Execute setups involving various operations like milling, boring, turning, drilling, and threading.
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Operate based on programming and setup instructions.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Provide technical support and training when needed.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area.
  • Suggest process improvements and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned and be open to learning new responsibilities.

Qualifications


Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Additional Machinist Training Certificate preferred

Experience:

  • 7 years of experience as a CNC Machinist in manufacturing
