Job Responsibilities


With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

  • Previous applicants are still under consideration and do not need to reapplyThis position is with the SC Department of Mental Health, Beckman Center for Mental Health Services, Laurens Mental Health Clinic.
Under general supervision, you will provide treatment services to children, adolescents and their families.

Mental Health Services will be provided in a culturally competent manner, which will include, but not be limited to, assessment, crisis management, individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Minimum Requirements - A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Agency Requirements:

Must qualify for credentialing and privileging as a mental health professional and in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and with concurrence by DMH Office of Quality Management.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:
One year post master's experience.

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
